This Swedish suntrap makes the most of its beachfront location on the Baltic Sea.

Architect Max Holst designed the freshly completed townhouse in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County, which hunkers into a sloping 3,734 sq m site and looks out over the water.

Oversized picture windows flood the three-storey property with natural light. A palette of natural wood and painted white walls exaggerates the feeling of space, while the current mix of vintage and contemporary furniture softens the property’s ‘new feel’.

A large kitchen and living room fill the main floor, which opens out onto a sun terrace and sprawling garden, and a bathroom and study-turned-guest-room feed off the central space. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms are stacked beneath.

Stromma Projekt commissioned Holst to design the townhouse – on the market for 11,900,00 SEK – which is one of just four in the development.
