Located on the edge of Bali’s golden shorefront, this Nusa Dua beach house serves cocktails from an airy, pavilion-esque backdrop.

Kulkul Beach House is part of The Laguna resort and opens to the ocean air from all sides. Kuala Lumpur agency ZDR designed the space, sculpting a timber structure that channels traditional Balinese architecture, often emphasising local, natural materials and connections with the surrounding environment.

The Bali bar and restaurant maximises beachy views and is decorated in a palette of wood, rattan and stone, with flashes of mineral green and pink echoing the lush local plantlife and deep sunsets. Outside, an adults-only pool awaits, flanked by daybeds and cabanas to soak up the sea air.

Cocktails and food at Kulkul embrace a zero-waste philosophy emphasising Indonesian, pan-Asian and international cuisine and ‘tapas-style small bites made with local ingredients. Think fresh fish and vegetables and signature cocktails.
