London | quarantine week 2 _ staying home, taking care of it, keeping busy with ever postponed house maintenance, repotting plants, painting windows, watching paint dry outside in nearly April weather, spells of hail, gardening, cleaning, baking, making coffee, adding another layer of paint and repeat. Staying home, by myself, revisiting recent travels by editing, archiving, enjoying photos of my last trips, remembering beautiful moments with amazing people visited or met along the way. I can almost hear the waves of the Pacific at the Oaxaca beaches, feel the warm breeze at Monte Uzulu, hear the laughter of new friends in CDMX, smell the last meal shared with old friends in their Querétaro kitchen and the coffee roasted nearby… as I scroll back through pictures of streets in LA and Oakland that almost look like home by now, I check in with families living there, just to say hi from afar, until my camera roll takes me back to the west coast and far North of Scotland, to the Atlantic, very different but just as beautiful beaches and just as dear old and new friends living there… in isolation by themselves, as couples, as families and I’m sending love and virtual hugs to them all. _ #stayhome
