Interior designer Sarah Lavoine has brought a touch of joie de vivre to the new Le Roch hotel in Paris.
Part of a 19th-century structure, the place rubs shoulders with the Louvre, Palais Garnier and Place Vendôme in the city’s 1st arrondissement. Lavoine worked with architect Vincent Bastie – who revamped Paris icon Les Bains last year – to transform it into a 37-room hideaway, which also has a spa, restaurant and library.
‘Le Roch reflects the real soul of the neighbourhood where it stands – a village atmosphere where the Parisian art de vivre retains a real feel-at-home feeling,’ says Lavoine – one of our must-follow interior designers on Instagram.
Each room comes with its own hammam steam bath. Lavoine used a pastel palette of sage, milky green and a pale green chartreuse throughout the space, offsetting it with natural materials such as Carrera marble and walnut wood flooring.
She also custom designed some of the furniture while other pieces come from Italian brand Cassina.
