Amid open farmland on the southeastern tip of Australia, this former church goes back to 1902 yet its current incarnation is right up to date. The original building remains intact, its single-volume interior now used as a living space beneath Gothic arched windows but it benefits from a glassy modern extension.

Kitchen, dining and seating are arranged within the original central room, anchored by a rotating fireplace. French doors open onto a deck and brick fire pit, with established pine and cypress trees enclosing the property.
The extension introduces a bedroom, bathroom and smaller adjoining rooms. The bathroom combines a clawfoot bath and limestone finishes with a full-height window facing the landscape. The bedroom is lined in spotted gum, with a separate area used for reading or work.
A small ecclesiastical building reworked for living, with its original form largely unchanged, the 1,200sqm site sits open to its rural Victoria surroundings, with views across farmland and direct eastern light. Marshall White is accepting expressions of interest with a price guide of AUD$1.5 to AUD$1.65 million.
