Architecture practice Mar Plus Ask designed this Palma villa, which blends Spanish and Scandinavian influences alongside old and new.
Founded by architects Mar Vicens and Ask Anker Aistrup, Mar Plus Ask combines their respective aesthetics on the adaptive reuse project, which revives a historic stone building dating back to 1530 as a new 510 sq ft home, spread across three floors.
Textural interplay across the island home creates a dialogue between old and new, with natural stone walls offset by uneven-stone slabs, smooth plastered walls and crisp, geometric stone floors in the upper levels of the home.
Elsewhere, bleached oak fixtures complement historic red ceiling beams, and steel-framed windows open the building up to the gardens which include a striking lap pool and grounds dotted with olive and lemon trees.
Fantastic Frank has the listing for the six-bedroom Palma property, with Can Gaspar asking for €5.25m.
