The former home and studio of Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera in England’s Surrey is up for sale.
Listed for £9 million, the Grade II*-listed St Ann’s Court comprises a 1930s Modernist structure and a 19th-century coach house. Architect Raymond McGrath created the 6,500 sq ft main Round House while garden designer Christopher Tunnard conceived its landscaped gardens.
The converted 4,500 sq ft coach house comes with Manzanera’s old recording studio, which has been redesigned by Roger D’Arcy of Recording Architects. Modfather Paul Weller and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour are among the musicians to have recorded there.
Back in 2000, architect Steve Marshall revamped the rest of the coach house, which has its own flat, two studies, a library and a games room.
The properties sit on eight acres of grounds, featuring a small lake, and plenty of orchards and cedar trees.
St Ann’s Court, located at the top of St Ann’s Hill in Surrey, is available to buy via The Modern House.
