Artist’s studio? Workshop? Playroom? Kithaus’ K3 prefab is a plug-and-go tiny home that costs from $27,000.
Versions of the prefab dwelling clock in at under 117 sq ft (around the size of a large shed) so it’s far from ‘right-sized living‘. But its diminutive footprint means it doesn’t typically need planning permission and its lightweight aluminium frame is mounted on stilts without the need for foundations.
The tiny home can be customised, including its corrugated Corten steel walls – which can be swapped for rustic ipe or cement board – walls and floors, and other add-ons include a deck.
