A minimalist narrowboat is for sale on Regent’s Canal in London

Minimalists can live on the water at this modern narrowboat, moored at Regent’s Canal in London by Pringle & Booth.

The 59-ft-long houseboat is named Olive and was built in 2019. Its bespoke interiors were outfitted by its architect owners, with a soft colour palette and reclaimed maple gym flooring and white subway-style tiles.

A multifuel-burning stove heats the narrowboat, while the fully functioning kitchen has oak cabinetry, a small 12v fridge and a stovetop gas oven. The bedroom is located at the rear of the vessel and is tricked out with custom storage to maximise the space, while oak-lined porthole windows peek onto the water.

Olive is listed with Aucoot for £125,000 (without mooring), and its technical specs include a Canaline engine (new in 2019), a 400-litre water tank under the bow deck, eco-friendly composting toilet and quadrant shower. The hull is fully insulated and the boat has Webasto heating with radiators in every room. It was repainted in a modern olive green and blackened-hull colourway in 2020.
