Techno legend Jeff Mills will create a live record inspired by the atmosphere of author Jules Verne’s home in France next week.
The record will be the latest instalment of Mill’s Institutions project, which sees the musician take up residence in famous creatives’ homes to make electronic music inspired by their spaces.
For his Verne session, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, Mills will inhabit the Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea author’s office in his Amiens home.
While the recording session is closed to the public, Institutions is expected to be released next year.
Jules Verne lived at the 19th-century Maison à la Tour from 1871 until his death in 1900. The house is now a public museum.
